Walker County mourns loss of a hero

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Parrish’s loved ones:

An Alabama soldier died Thursday from wounds suffered when his vehicle ran over a road side bomb in Iraq.

Dusty Parrish of Walker County was an Army medic and a graduate of Jasper’s Walker High School. Karen Tucker, a friend of one of Parrish’s cousins said that Parrish was due to come home in July.
